Abstract

Abstract The biomimetic oxidation of E- and Z-guggulsterones was studied with hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by different 5,10,15,20-tetraarylporphyrinatoiron(III)chlorides in dichloromethane as well as in an ionic liquid to understand the mechanism of oxidative transformation of guggulsterone in biological system.
