Abstract

Abstract The rate Φ( z, t) of the magnetic flux of a ferromagnetic sample which is remagnetized in an external slowly varying homogeneous field is regarded as a random Barkhausen field ( z measured along the sample axis, t time). The power density Γ( k, ω) of the field is measured ( k wavenumber, ω angular frequency) and the cut-off wavenumber as a function of the frequency is discussed.
