Abstract

Graphical abstract Synopsis A bis-Schiff base trinuclear cobalt(II) complex was synthesized under solvolthermal conditions from a mono-Schiff base ligand and cobalt acetate. The complex showed higher urease inhibitory activity than that of the corresponding ligand and the metal ion, and even comparable with that of the acetohydroxamic acid co-assayed as a positive reference against the enzyme.
