Abstract

Abstract A four-element discrete model is developed to simulate the heave motion of fluid suspensions for surface transportation systems. The results are presented in terms of spring and dashpot forces which simulate the behavior of the fluid suspension. By this approach, deeper insight to the fluid mechanics of the air cushion is achieved.
