Abstract

Abstract We deposited Bi 2Sr 2Ca n−1 Cu n O y (Bi-based) superconducting thin films by a RF magnetron sputtering method applying external magnetic field. The as-deposited films were Bi-2223 single-phase, and their T c was about 70 K without any in situ or ex situ annealing process. The relation between T c and magnetic fields was clarified. In addition, the effect of arrangement of magnets on the T c and the composition of the films was clarified.
