Abstract

Abstract Underivatized silica and silica lightly derivatized with octadecyl groups produced better separations of oligomers of nonylphenyl-oligo(ethylene glycol) than a more extensively derivatized silica packing. In addition, the resolution was shown to be adversely affected by the presence of 0.01 M sodium iodide or by 10% of water in an eluent of either acetonitrile or methanol.
