Abstract

Abstract In this Letter, the gradient descent algorithm is proposed to search for the optimal synchronization between a drive and a response hyperchaotic systems that are coupled with a scalar signal. The energy corresponds to the largest Lyapunov exponent of the response system is defined. Its convergence indicates that the corresponding Lyapunov exponent is always negative.
