The bachelor thesis deals with an issue of termination of employment both in legal and practical point of view in the Czech Republic. The text offers a general examination of the legal acts together with the international law. The key points in the theoretical part of the work are the chapters on employment termination. Relations in the labor law are ruled by the Labor Code (Act No. 262/2006 Coll.), which regulates both formation and termination of employment. Generally, it can be said that the current rules of the Code narrows the legal protection of workers concerning labor relations. The main purpose of this process is to achieve greater labor market flexibility. The practical part focuses on specific companies and analyzes their attitudes to employment termination. The main goal of the work is to discuss employment termination possibilities in general and to demonstrate an example on specific companies.
