Abstract

Abstract Analytical approximate formulas for the nonlinear running of fermion masses and mixing angles in the standard model of electroweal interactions are found. The normalization group equations for the evolution of matrix Yukawa coupling are also solved numerically and the corresponding evolution of masses and weak mixing angles is extracted. Both methods are compared confirming an excellent validity of the approximate analytical solutions. Some possible further applications of the developed method are suggested, like an upper bound on the top mass of 45 GeV for the minimal SU(5)GUT.
