A caste and outcaste system in medicine

  • Medicine

The development and establishment of caste-like divisions among health-care practitioners is examined with particular attention being paid to chiropracty. Reference is made to recent studies and changes in Australasia. Comparisons are drawn between changes occuring in medicine and the persistence of hierarchical arrangements which exclude alternative therapies, such as chiropracty.
