Abstract

Summary The case of a patient who after twenty-five years is still alive and well and without known recurrence after total gastrectomy for gastric carcinoma has been described in some detail. The operative findings and procedures and the postoperative management and pertinent follow-up examinations have been recorded and discussed briefly. * * Addendum: As of November 19, 1964, nearly twenty-six years after operation, the patient is still alive and well.
