Abstract

Abstract The possibility of developing a single tube alternative to the double tube coincidence technique for noise pulse elimination in scintillation counting is considered. A circuit which operates satisfactory with scintillators having decay times of 200 nsec or longer (such as NaI(Tl) or CsI(Tl)) is described. The feasibility of an extension of the method for use with the organic scintillators is indicated.
