Abstract

Abstract Calculations of the Hall resistance of crossed quantum wires are performed taking into account the change of the current distribution among subbands due to effects of impurities in the case that wires are much longer than the mean free path. Within certain ranges in the high-magnetic-field regime where the Fermi level lies at the bottom of a subband, the obtained Hall resistance considerably deviates upwards from that in the absence of impurities because of the decrease in percentage of the current in the subband.
