Abstract

Starting from a simplified description, treating proton two-particle two-hole (2p-2h) excitations coupled with spherical quadrupole vibrations in interaction with the low-lying quadrupole vibrational states in doubly-even Sn112−118 nuclei, we are able to account for the regular ΔJ=2 band structure on top of excited Jπ=0+ states. Energy spectra as well as E2 and E0 decay properties are calculated and are extensively compared with recent experimental data.
