Abstract

There is increasing observational evidence that a non-negligible fraction of the cosmic carbon is locked up into macromolecules and nanoparticles. Carbonaceous nanoparticles and Hydrogenated Amorphous Carbon (HAC) nanoparticles represent one of the main components of interstellar dust.
