Abstract

The antiatherogenic effects of these organosulphur compounds can be attributed to such reactions that inhibit HMG-CoA reductase and other lipogenic enzymes. The anticarcinogenic effects of these compounds may also be due to inhibitory reactions on enzymes that activate carcinogens.
