Abstract

Abstract The strong influence of an external magnetic field on the resistance of the “Pt tip- ab plane of Bi 2Sr 2Ca 1Cu 2O 8 single crysta l” point contact has been observed experimentally. This enabled us to measure the temperature dependence of the penetration field. As our experiments have shown, the contact resistance linearly increases with temperature in the interval 5–50 K. Oscillations of the point contact resistance versus magnetic field observed in our experiments in our opinion are associated with the penetration of the single vortex lines into the contact region.
