Abstract

Abstract A new set of quark mass matrices is proposed, based on a simple perturbation of a universal Yukawa interaction. The CP violation parameters are predicted to be J CP =(0.3±0.2)×10 −4 and ε′ ε =(0.6±0.5)×10 −3 . The model also predicts a top quark not much heavier than ∼ 100 GeV.
