Abstract

Abstract Unusual oscillations of polar Kerr rotation in ion implanted garnets versus temperature, changing from liquid nitrogen to Néel, are observed in magnetic fields up to 14 kOe. It is suggested that a noncollinear arrangement of spins is induced by the implantation.
