Abstract

Abstract Autogenous stress-bearing masticatory mucosa from the palate offers many advantages over skin as a tissue for free grafting in the oral cavity. It has particular application in vestibular extension procedures. In a series of twenty-six cases, palatal mucosa was used as the grafting material, with excellent results.
