Abstract

Abstract As the number of passenger vehicles equipped with air bags increases, the hazards associated with their use become more apparent. Certain occupants are at a greater risk of injury, depending on their size or their location in the vehicle. A predictable pattern of injury can be found; therefore a careful history and physical assessment are critical to avoid missing significant injuries.
