Abstract

Abstract Image denoising in shearlet domain based on shuffled frog leaping algorithm was proposed in this paper. Based on shuffled frog leaping algorithm combining of memetic algorithm with strong local search ability and particle swarm optimization with good global search ability, Using the proposed optimal threshold, the noisy image can be adaptively denoised based on image content. Simulation results indicate that the method can filter noise effectively and preserve edge information of image preferably. Meanwhile, the denoised images achieve higher PSNR.
