Abstract

Abstract A case of parenchymal hamartoma of the liver in a white female infant is reported. The lesion, which was 7.5 cm in diameter, was removed by subtotal excision of the right lobe of the liver. Nine previously reported cases are reviewed. The case presented is the third in which resection of a hamartoma of the liver in an infant was successfully carried out, and a sixteen year follow-up study reveals the patient to be clinically asymptomatic.
