Abstract

Abstract It is shown that random magnetoelastic interactions in zero-mean-magnetostrictive materials lead under certain conditions to the removal of degeneration and the repulsion of the dispersion curves of the coherent elastic waves at the magnetoelastic crossing point. Limitations on material parameters and magnetic field, which may allow to observe this effect, are derived.
