Abstract

Abstract The single-particle wave functions of 107Ag beyond the nuclear potential are calculated exactly. It is shown that the centrifugal barrier cannot be neglected in the region of the last classical turning point of the nuclear density. Thus K − meson absorption by emulsions cannot be explained by the difference between the effect of the Coulomb barrier in heavy and light emulsion nuclei.
