Abstract
Highlights ► Personality scores increase during ontogeny and asymptote close to sexual maturity. ► Considerable variation between genotypes in personality developmental plasticity. ► Exploration and boldness correlate strongly from 61 days of age. ► Personality is unrelated to growth rate or reproductive output.
