Abstract

Abstract The Fourier transform of a voltammetric wave is given for both the continuous and the discrete case. It is shown how important wave parameters such as height, slope and position can easily be determined using the transform. The resolution of overlapping waves can also be improved' by deconvolution in the Fourier domain. Two different deconvolution functions can be used for this purpose. Experimental polarograms are used to validate the results.
