Abstract

Summary Vindesine has useful activity in lung and esophageal cancer. Its use in polychemotherapy regimes as initial chemotherapy in these conditions is being explored. Vindesine also has useful activity in malignant lymphoma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia and germ cell neoplasms. Further study is necessary to define its role in these conditions as a complement to or replacement for vinblastine or vincristine. It has activity in malignant melanoma, head and neck carcinoma and breast carcinoma that also requires further definition.
