Scaling analysis of the susceptibility of Ce(Ru1− xRhx)2Si2in the Fermi and non-Fermi liquid ranges

Abstract

Abstract We use the standard static-scaling equations at a phase transition in non-standard conditions, with T c a negative constant, or (and) with T 2 rather than T being the variable, to fit our susceptibility data in Ce(Ru 1− x Rh x ) 2Si 2 alloys. For x lower than 0.05 these systems show a typical Fermi-liquid behaviour and for x=0.4 and 0.5 they display a typical non-Fermi liquid behaviour. This scaling yields numbers, the exponents, which permit to classify qualitative differences in behaviour.
