Restrictions on the mass of the intermediate bosons in the T.D. Lee model

Abstract

Abstract In the framework of the Lee-Wick type model of weak interactions with four charged intermediate bosons, two of which have negative metric, a relation between the masses of vector and scalar mesons was derived, the decay rate K L 0 → 2 μ and the difference in mass of the K L 0 and K S 0 mesons were evaluated and an upper limit for W-boson masses was found. A lower limit for W-boson masses was obtained from underground neutrino experiments. The estimates show that searches for such charged W-bosons might have sense in the range of mass 10–20 GeV.
