Abstract

Abstract Succinyl and phthalyl esters of native (M.W. 12 × 10 7) and clinical dextrans (M.W. 8 × 10 4) May bind Cu ++ and Fe ++ ions, at neutral Ph, giving rise to undialyzable chelates. As regards copper, some information about the metal-polysaccharide bonding have been obtained by EPR analysis.
