Abstract

Abstract We calculate the shift of the hydrogenic-like impurity states due to a highly localized potential introducing one fitting parameter. With the increasing hydrostatic pressure the ionisation energy of the impurity first changes very slowly and then sharply increases so that the pressure coefficient of the impurity level may differ very much from the pressure coefficient of the minimum of the band.
