This paper reviews the matrix programminglanguage Ox from the viewpoint of an econometrician/statistician.We focus on scientific programming using Ox and discussexamples of possible interest to econometricians and statisticians, such as random number generation, maximum likelihood estimation, andMonte Carlo simulation.
