Abstract

Abstract The article presents a theoretical study of the heat transfer of solar energy through substrates. The incident radiation is represented by a Fourier series and the partial differential equation is solved directly via complex functions. This allows a component-wise analysis. The behaviour of the time independent as well as the time dependent harmonics is investigated in relation to the subtrate's thermal parameters.
