Abstract

Abstract The nucleoproteins in the cells of Acanthamoeba are easily extracted with 0.12 M NaCl. A substantial part of the basic proteins seem to be associated to acid substances other than nucleic acids. The amount of basic protein in the amoeba cell decreases after the cell cultures have ceased to grow.
