Record level- A daily journal kept by A.H. Jones, documenting his trip from Oljato, Utah to Lee's Ferry as a part of a gold mine surveying and claim staking project. The project was part of the Spencer mining operation along the San Juan and Colorado Rivers. Jones documents his daily activities with his survey party, including their search for water sources, coal to power the mining operation, and trails for coal transportation.
