Abstract

Abstract The excess molar enthalpies H m E{ xCO 2 + (1 − x) c-C 6H 12} were measured in the vicinity of the critical locus and in the supercritical region. Large positive H m Es were observed depending on the compositions, pressures, and temperatures of the mixtures, in contrast to large negative H m Es measured previously at lower temperatures. A modified Soave equation of state was used to correlate H m E over the temperature range of 308.15 to 573.15 K and a pressure range of 7.50 to 12.50 MPa with an average standard deviation of 352 J · mol −1.
