Abstract

•The complete rotation dynamics of a vehicle near libration point are derived.•The attitude stability of a dual-spin spacecraft at the libration points is studied.•The simulations of attitude motion for a spacecraft in halo orbits are performed.•A semi-analytic method for spacecraft attitude stability in halo orbits is provided.•The attitude motion can be explained and predicted with three modes of motion.
