Abstract

In about 10% of adult asthmatics, aspirin precipitates open asthmatic attacks. Pathogenesis, clinical features, and diagnosis of a distinct clinical syndrome known as aspirin-induced asthma are described. The syndrome attracts the attention of scientists and clinicians who are convinced that unraveling its mysteries may give new insights into the pathogenesis of asthma.
