Abstract

In this study we examine views of three music teachers on interpretation in a pop/rock-oriented ensemble setting. The study was conducted using qualitative research interviews with informants consisted of active ensemble teachers in high school and university.The results of the study show that interpretation is important no matter what instrument you play or what genre you desire to practice. The variation of different methods for interpretation depends on the instrument and context. In the result the interviewed teachers reflects on what interpretation mean and describe various approaches to implement on their teaching. / Validerat; 20150209 (global_studentproject_submitter)
