Abstract

This study had as objective to carry out an analysis of the Quality of Life in the Work in the Laboratory Bridge, linked to the CTC at UFSC, which is specialized in the area of software development. Quality of Life at Work aims to measure the employee's well-being within the company, and for that, models proposed by scholars of the area are used. The analysis was based on a questionnaire created with anchorage in the Walton model of Quality of Life at Work and its criteria that are: fair and adequate compensation, working conditions, use and development of skills, chances of professional growth and safety in the work environment, social integration in the company, constitutionalism, work and total living space and, finally, social relevance at work. The questionnaire was made available by the author of this study to the collaborators via the Laboratory intranet between May 2 and 5, 2017. As results, 80 valid responses were obtained from the total of 114 Bridge employees and it was possible to observe, using tabulation of data and dynamic tables, that some factors contained within the criteria, such as feedback practice, criteria for promotion and contracting, and training outside work schedule presented considerable levels of dissatisfaction, However, when looking at the whole, all the criteria used in the analysis showed positive results. Thus, it was possible to conclude that the Bridge Laboratory has a favorable environment to the practices defended by the authors of quality of life at work
