Abstract

Abstract C 3 is a new drug for use in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction. It is 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoyl derived from t-aminocaproic acid (ε-ACA) and, unlike ε-ACA, has no effect on the fibrinolytic process. Identical experiments were carried out on ε-ACA and C 3, using the method of plasminogen activation by streptokinase, and it was seen that C 3 has no effect on the plasmin-plasminogen system. We also studied the effect of this anti-infarction drug on platelet aggregation.
