Abstract

Abstract Vibrational spectra of SiN and SiSi bonds in a-Si xN yH z alloys (0.15 < y < 0.6) were studied by infrared absorption and Raman scattering spectroscopy. The results on the observed collective modes lead us to describe the material as a mixture of a-Si:H with hydrogenated a-Si 3N 4 units.
