Abstract

Abstract Photo-induced changes in the infrared spectrum of amorphous, evaporated As 2S 3 films are described. The results are interpreted in terms of the photopolymerization of As 4S 4 molecular units and sulfur chains into an As 2S 3 glassy network. The role of photo-induced charged states in the polymerization process is discussed.
