Abstract

Summary Citrate synthase from mango fruit differs from other aerobic citrate synthases in that it is inhibited by several sulfhydryl binding reagents. The enzyme is protected from inhibition by its substrates acetyl CoA and oxaloacetate. This enzyme is an “S-citrate synthase” with a molecular weight of 65,000.
