Abstract

Abstract Anodic oxidations of a azomethine derivatives ( 1–4) mediated by cation radicals (I + or II +) were performed in acetonitriletetraethylammonium perchlorate electrolyte solution by controlled potential electrolysis. As a result of anodic oxidation corresponding N-heterocycles ( 1a–4a) were isolated in good yields ranging from 50–81%.
