Abstract

Abstract The HCl + (A) vibrational state distributions from the title reaction were studied over the 48–110 meV collision energy range. The 1 0 and 2 0 ratios increase by factors of about 1.3 and 2.5, respectively. The branching ratios appear to be determined primarily by Franck-Condon factors, and by the endoergicity of the ν′ = 2 level.
