Abstract

Abstract In this paper the modelling of HCl- and SO 2-break-through curves, resulting from laboratory measurements in a fixed-bed adsorber, is described. The above mentioned waste-gas components are removed simultaneously by chemical reaction respectively by catalytically influenced adsorption on impregnated activated carbon. It was found that copper-impregnation yielded the best results and industrial application is supposed to have every chance of success.
