Abstract

Abstract A case of esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula with an unusually long proximal pouch is presented. In the presence of air in the gastrointestinal tract, failure to demonstrate contrast medium below the diaphragm in the neonatal period on esophagram should always suggest congenital esophageal atresia with tracheoesophageal fistula.
