Abstract

Abstract In experiments with laser produced plasmas there we have obtained d-d neutrons with help of both nanosecond and picosecond laser pulses. The possibility of plasma heating by 10 −12–10 −14 sec laser pulses is discussed, considering turbulent heating mechanisms. The expected neutron yield and electromagnetic radiation are evaluated.
